The Social&Creative Community gathering in Medjugorje (BiH) and investigating cross correlation area among “Food and Intangible heritage” and “Social & Creative vision development”.
The Interreg MED Programme’s Social & Creative Community invites citizens, companies, academia and other projects interested in facilitating and investigating cross correlation area among “Food and Intangible heritage” and “Social & Creative vision development” to join the International Seminar "Mediterranean Diet & Creative Industries: from UNESCO World Heritage for Immaterial Culture to an active and creative sustainable growth factor", organized by the TALIA (Territorial Appropriation of Leading-edge Innovation Actions) horizontal project.
On 12th June 2019 TALIA, the modular projects in the Social & Creative thematic community, associated partners and key stakeholders in the thematic area will meet in Ethno village “Herceg” in Medjugorje (Bosnia and Herzegovina), joining a MD.Net Project event.
Creativity and social innovation are the enabling forces for prosperity and well-being in the MED space, in line with EU 2020 as well as the specific potentials of the Mediterranean itself. This in a context of territorial innovation where innovation is built on the territorial capital specific to a given place or the Mediterranean as a whole.
The Integrated Project “MD.Net – When Brand Meets Peoples” aims to build on the Mediterranean Diet – a UNESCO World Heritage for immaterial culture – to address the severe natural and demographic problems faced by Mediterranean rural regions.
The international seminar objective is to explore the correlation among these two aspects, the UNESCO Food and Intangible heritage and the Social & Creative vision. The event will include an interactive session where a number of related emerging development issues will be addressed, including relations between Food and Social Innovations, analysis of economic growth indicators, potentials of Mediterranean diet model. Relevant international speakers will moderate and contribute to the identification of territorial impact indicators and best practices, to be shared on the level of Social & Creative Community in the Mediterranean.
