On November 8-9, SMATH project is organizing CI’S Innovation Training, a two-days workshop to be held at the Management Department of the Ca’ Foscari University in Venice.
The workshop is aimed at proposing, discussing and sharing the notion of “smart atmosphere” that characterizes the SMATH project and, based on the illustration of best practices, to provide partner with practical tools to start shaping “creative nests” at the local/regional level, on one hand.
On the other hand, this meeting has the goal to invite to a reflection in each region/partners on the site, the actors and processes that would promote a local “smart atmosphere” via the creation of regional/local "Creative Nests" equipped with the capability of assisting creative industries in sourcing and
engineering innovative ideas from the core of Cultural engines.
This training workshop is composed of two distinct but integrated sessions. The first one on Thursday November 8, afternoon, where the speakers will outline the notion of “Smart Atmosphere” as it has been constructed in theory and present a number of models that can be used to develop. Five guest speakers will provide further practical tools based on their concrete experience in designing and maintaining initiatives that can be seen as examples of “smart atmospheres”.
The second session, planned on Friday November 9 morning, is aimed at distilling and translating the knowledge acquired and apply it to the specificities, history and ambitions of each of the SMATH regions. The ultimate goal is to identify for each of our regions one or more mechanisms that can be created and stabilized in order to serve as "Creative Nests" that multiply the frequency and accessibility of creative industries to artistic processes, creative artefacts and cultural heritage in a perspective of social innovation.
