The Social&Creative Community organizes the international seminar “MED creativity for inclusive innovation” on October 19, 2018 in Palermo, within Vestino festival.
Creativity is a central feature mediterranean life and an essential component of its economy in many ways that are currently being explored by on-going initiatives in the Social&Creative Community of the EU’s Interreg MED Programme. In particular, the CreativeWear project is developing a netowkr of Creative Hubs to build new forms of collaboration between individual creatives and the teztlie and clothing industry.
Vestino 2018, a city-wide celebration of creativity in textile and clothing held in Palermo on October 19-22, is one example of this approach.
This TALIA international seminar brings together the eleven Interreg MED projgets of the Social&Creative Community to share insights on the contribution of creativity to the sustainable development of the MED space, towards an emergent vision of inclusive innovation. The role of different approaches – from co-creation events to investment promotion to creating atmosphere – will be explored and the potentials for cross-fertilisation identified.
The morning session will be open to the public, with presentations of the Socila&Creative Community Vision and each of the on-going projects, and ample space for discussion. The afternoon will be a closed-door co-creation session, in which the representatives of the diffferent projects will interactively define their common ground and identify how the Social&Creative Community can support them in building together the share vision for a new form of inclusive innovation in the Mediterranean.
