The Social & Creative Community

11 Modular Projects, 121 organisations from 12 MED, IPA and other EU countries, more than 400 stakeholders involved: this is the Interreg MED Social&Creative Community, created under the third subtheme of Priority Axis 1. For the first time ever, creative industry and social innovation have been explicitly put together and were attributed a strong development and jobs potential in Mediterranean regions.

Led by a varied Consortium, including public administrations, high education institutions, business accelerators, associations and research organizations, the Social&Creative Community is aimed at:

empowering the public and private actors engaged in innovation policy and practice towards Creativity Based Innovation

reinforcing transnational cooperation between actors of the quadruple helix (research, businesses, public sector, civil society) through capacity building

promoting triple-loop policy learning based on the on-going results of modular projects dealing with cultural, creative and social innovation

building an online community of communities of social innovators and creatives gathering institutions, project participants as well as emergent clusters and networks
