On September 17-18, 2018 in Pollica (Campania, Italy) the integrated project MD.Net will officially kick-off.
Under the framework of Interreg Med Territorial Cooperation Programme 2014-2020, MD.Net project challenges the problems of currently neglected and undeveloped opportunities of Mediterranean Diet (MD) in 12 European regions. MD is integral part of the Mediterranean identity, inscribed in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The project aims at strengthening exploration of the MD according the UNESCO Med Diet Convention, blending comprehensive MD concepts with innovative tools.
This two-day work will provide the partners with the opportunity for meeting the Campania Associated partners and local Stakeholders, present the state of the art of the project and the required steps to move forward with the completion of the first project module.
During the first day, 4 different workshops will involve the project local stakeholders:
- The tale of the Mediterranean Diet: rites, symbols, storytelling, ways of food and creativity;
- Shapes of territory: water resources, sustainable mobility and settlement, agriculture and landscape management;
- Branding: international promotion of local identities;
- Products of the Mediterranean Diet between tradition, normative and innovation.
The second day will be devoted to the 2nd Steering Committee, where the MD.Net project partners will discuss the advancements of the project and set the plan for the incoming months.
