The Social & Creative Community
14 Modular Projects, 151 organisations from 15 MED, IPA and other EU countries, more than 400 stakeholders involved: this is the Interreg MED Social&Creative Community, created under the third subtheme of Priority Axis 1. For the first time ever, creative industry and social innovation have been explicitly put together and were attributed a strong development and jobs potential in Mediterranean regions.
Led by a varied Consortium, including public administrations, high education institutions, business accelerators, associations and research organizations, the Social&Creative Community is aimed at:
• empowering the public and private actors engaged in innovation policy and practice towards Creativity Based Innovation
• reinforcing transnational cooperation between actors of the quadruple helix (research, businesses, public sector, civil society) through capacity building
• promoting triple-loop policy learning based on the on-going results of modular projects dealing with cultural, creative and social innovation
• building an online community of communities of social innovators and creatives gathering institutions, project participants as well as emergent clusters and networks
CHEBEC
Increasing the economic sustainability and the job creation (and maintenance) of CCIs through an innovative, combined and comprehensive approach in terms of support services.
CHIMERA
Enforcing innovation of Cultural and Creative Industries at European level through the development of transnational clusters, European networks and territorial synergies among companies, research centers, public authorities and civil society.
ChIMERA Plus
Transferring ChIMERA process and methodology for the growth of the regional Cultural and Creative Industries subsectors promoting the sustainable urban development in new MED territories.
CO-CREATE
Contributing to the development at MED level of more competitive clusters through the elaboration of a cross fertilization methodology and toolkit to support and manage cross-clusters initiatives.
COWORKMED
Promoting co-working processes and their transnational organization as a lever of social innovation in Mediterranean.
CREATIVEWEAR
Revitalizing the textile & clothing industry by fostering creativity, personalized design, artisan and small-scale productions.
CREATIVEWEAR PLUS
Directing creativity towards circular economy and sustainability in T&C, involving areas such as bio-based textiles, upcycled clothing, and reinterpretation of cultural traditions.
MD.NET
Building on the Mediterranean Diet – a UNESCO World Heritage for immaterial culture – to address the severe natural and demographic problems faced by Mediterranean rural regions.
ODEON
Exploitating Open Data in order to strengthen the relationship between digital agenda, e-government strategy, the open data platforms implemented at several levels and the availability of Open Data to support innovation process within Interreg Mediterranean Area.
OPEN DOORS
Demonstrating how the Sharing Economy can be a driver of economic, territorial and social growth and establishing a network, whose strategy and action plan offer a mix of innovative services to the local communities.
PLUS RESILIENT
Setting up a network of competitive Mediterranean clusters with the contribution of creative industries.
PROMINENT MED
Focusing on the use of Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) to stimulate the adoption of innovative products and services that can improve the quality of the services for citizens.
Prominent Plus
Transferring experiences and knowledge to increase the involvement of innovative SME's and start-ups in public procurements using Innovation Procurement, such as Pre-Commercial Procurement and PPI.
SMATH
Improving the quality and quantity of connections between the publicly oriented domain of culture and the business-oriented domain of creativity via innovative forms of clustering called “Smart Atmospheres”.
